LIGHT
The bottom line is that every photographer is, essentially, capturing light in some shape or form. Transfixed as we are by objects, we treat them as the reality, whereas it is light-in-form that we are seeing. Some of the best photographs I have ever seen contain mundane objects, and yet the light is the most beautiful thing.
